Excerpt from first two paragraphs of the Preface of the book by Ms. Wang Yinzhu, the author's teacher

Ms. Wang praised the author what a great achievement he had accomplished in transforming himself from a barefoot doctor in China into an American physician. The literary style is deemed as highly scholar and poetic like a beautiful prose read in ancient Chinese classics hundreds of years ago, that could hardly be expressed in any other language. So no such effort is attempted.

作 者 刘 锺 毅 君 ， 皎 皎 如 月 之 华 ， 昭 昭 如 日 之 晴 ； 傲 霜 若 东 篱 之 菊 、 挺 拔 似 山 巅 之 松 ； 气 宇 轩 昂 、 躯 胆 俊 伟 ； 胸 怀 沧 海 、 气 贯 长 虹 ； 凛 凛 君 似 雪 、 滢 滢 泉 似 君 。 今 读 其 文 ， 如 见 其 人 、 如 闻 其 声 ； 亦 如 临 其 境 ， 或 流 畅 坦 荡 ， 似 王 佑 军 之 袒 腹 东 床 ； 或 哀 宛 动 人 ， 若 卓 文 君 之 白 头 吟 咏 ； 激 昂 处 ， 惊 涛 拍 岸 、 虎 啸 山 林 ； 气 静 时 ， 春 光 普 照 、 蜂 蝶 竞 舞 、 文 章 迭 荡 起 伏 、 浩 气 磅 礴 纵 横 ； 空 谷 幽 兰 、 芳 香 四 溢 、 沁 人 腑 肺 、 余 味 无 穷 。

今 祖 国 正 值 开 放 改 革 大 潮 ， 晴 空 万 里 、 遍 地 皆 春 。 刘 君 沤 心 沥 血 之 作 乃 趁 风 而 发 、 应 时 而 生 ， 可 谓 天 相 吉 人 ， 不 亦 快 乎 。
